Swap numbers with a match. Just not your personal one.
Moving a conversation off the app usually means trading phone numbers. Give your matches a TwinNumber, and your personal number, with everything tied to it, stays with the people you already trust.
Why dating apps ask for your number
Dating apps verify your phone number when you sign up, and often again when you log in from a new device, partly to keep spam and fake profiles out. Many look at the line type first and turn VoIP numbers away. A TwinNumber is registered as mobile, so it can sit on your account while your personal number stays off it.
Tips
- 01
Text before you meet
Chat on your TwinNumber through the first few dates. If things go well, share your personal number when you're ready.
- 02
Block without explaining
If a match gets pushy or a conversation feels off, block the number with one tap. Their calls and texts stop, and they never had your real number.
- 03
Keep the same number
Use one TwinNumber for your account and your matches, so sign-in codes and messages stay in one place and you don't lose access to your profile.
Questions
Will my match know it's a second number?
They see an ordinary U.S. mobile number. Calls and texts from it look like they would from any other phone.
Can I call a match from my browser?
Yes. Calls and texts go out from your TwinNumber, so your personal number never shows up.
What if I want to stop hearing from someone?
Block their number in one tap, and unblock it anytime. Blocking is manual, so you decide who gets through.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. It works in your browser wherever you have internet, which helps if you're dating in the U.S. while studying, working remotely or getting ready to move there.
