What Crypto.com uses your number for
- An SMS code to verify your phone when you sign up for the Crypto.com App.
- An SMS code, along with an email link and your passcode, when you log in.
- An SMS code with your 2FA code when you withdraw, unless you use a passkey.
Add your TwinNumber on Crypto.com
- 01
Open Personal Information
In the Crypto.com App, go to Settings > Account > Personal Information > Phone and tap Edit.
- 02
Confirm it's you
Enter your passcode, then confirm the change from the email Crypto.com sends you.
- 03
Verify the new number
Enter the new number and the SMS code sent to it. It must have the same country code as your old one.
Why the line type matters
Exchanges and brokerages often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.
Why banks reject Google Voice →Questions
I lost my old number and can't log in. What now?
On the login screen, verify your email, tap "Didn't receive a code?" and choose to change your phone number, then confirm with your passcode. With a balance of US$5,000 or more, Crypto.com also asks you to verify your identity.
Can I avoid SMS codes on Crypto.com?
Yes, with a passkey: Crypto.com says it replaces SMS codes and 2FA codes when you log in, whitelist a withdrawal address and withdraw. Keep your number current anyway, since it stays on your account.
Does a U.S. number change Crypto.com's identity verification?
No. Crypto.com verifies your identity with your own ID and a selfie, and the requirements depend on your country. Its guide also says a new number must keep your old number's country code, so ask support at chat.crypto.com if yours isn't +1.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Crypto.com?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Crypto.com is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
