Add your TwinNumber on Signal
- 01
Use your current phone
Change Number only works while your old device can still send and receive Signal messages.
- 02
Open Change Phone Number
Go to Settings, then Account, then Change Phone Number.
- 03
Enter both numbers
Type your old and new numbers, then confirm the new one.
- 04
Verify by SMS
Enter the code texted to the new number to finish registration.
Why the line type matters
Messaging apps often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.

Will people I chat with see my number on Signal?
By default, no: Who can see my number is set to Nobody, so only people who already saved your number see it. A username lets others reach you without it.
Do my contacts find out when I change numbers?
People you have chatted with may see an alert in the chat; saved contacts you never messaged do not. Your username stays the same.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Signal?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Signal is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
