What Indeed uses your number for
- A 6-digit code to verify your number when you create an account or apply for a job.
- A sign that you're active on Indeed, which it shows employers once your number is verified.
- Account recovery: if you can't reach your email, Indeed sends a code to the number in your account settings.
Add your TwinNumber on Indeed
- 01
Open Account settings
On desktop go to your account settings; in the app, open Profile > Settings > Account settings.
- 02
Change the number
Under Phone number, choose Change phone number, enter the new one and select Verify.
- 03
Submit the code
Type the code from the text message in the Enter code box and select Submit.
Why the line type matters
Freelance and job platforms often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.

If I edit the phone number on my Indeed profile, does my account number change too?
No. The number on your profile and the one tied to your account are separate, so update the account number in your account settings.
How can I receive Indeed's verification code?
By text message, by automated phone call or by WhatsApp if the number has a WhatsApp account. The code is valid for 10 minutes.
Does changing my number on Indeed affect Glassdoor?
Yes, if your Indeed and Glassdoor accounts are linked: a phone number update on Indeed carries over to your Glassdoor profile.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Indeed?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Indeed is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
