Why the line type matters

Freelance and job platforms often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.

Questions

Why does Freelancer.com ask for ID verification when I change my number?

The new security phone number only applies once ID verification is complete. If you have a pending KYC verification for a withdrawal, you can't update the number until you cancel that verification.

What kind of number can I use on Freelancer.com?

Its help says you can use a mobile or a landline number, without extensions, in international format with the right country selected. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.

My Freelancer.com code didn't arrive. What can I do?

If the code hasn't arrived within 15 minutes, click Re-send Code. For sign-in codes, Freelancer.com suggests switching the delivery preference to Email if SMS gives you trouble, so you aren't locked out.

Do I need to live in the U.S.?

No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.

Is TwinNumber affiliated with Freelancer.com?

No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Freelancer.com is a trademark of its owner.

What if a code doesn't arrive?
