What Deel uses your number for
- Your Deel profile keeps a dial code and phone number, under Profile settings > Personal.
- Deel says keeping that number current helps you recover your account and keep receiving important security notifications.
- Login codes don't come by text: 2FA uses the Deel app, an authenticator app or an email code.

Why the line type matters
Payroll and HR platforms often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.
Why banks reject Google Voice →Questions
Will Deel send my login codes by SMS?
No. When you sign in you approve a push notification in the Deel app, enter a code from an authenticator app or get a one-time code by email. Deel says an authenticator app is twice as secure as codes sent by SMS or email, and 2FA can't be turned off.
Why can't I edit my phone number on Deel?
You need permission to edit personal details. If the Edit button is missing, contact your admin or Deel Support. If you can't save, check the number's format.
I lost access to my 2FA app and my email. What now?
Deel lets you schedule a live video call with Deel Support to get back into your account.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Deel?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Deel is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
