Why the line type matters
Travel and ride apps often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.
Why banks reject Google Voice →Questions
Why can't I book because of my phone number?
Turo won't let you book or list a car if the phone number on your account also appears on an account Turo has removed. If your number is wrong, only you can correct it, from your Account page; customer support can't change it for you.
Where can I rent a car on Turo?
Turo operates in the U.S., the U.K., France, Australia and several Canadian provinces and territories. A TwinNumber gives your account a U.S. number you can read in your browser before and during the trip.
Can my host call me on my TwinNumber?
Turo asks guests and hosts to keep their communication in Turo messaging. TwinNumber receives texts today, and calls aren't available yet, so your host's texts reach your browser but a call won't.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Turo?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Turo is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
