Why the line type matters
Travel and ride apps often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.
Why banks reject Google Voice →Questions
Does Lyft accept VoIP numbers?
No. Lyft's help says VoIP numbers aren't compatible with the Lyft platform. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile, not VoIP.
Will my Lyft driver see my number?
No. Lyft says your phone number stays anonymized and is never shared when you contact your driver by in-app chat or phone.
I can't access my old number. What now?
Don't create a new account. Tap Get started, then Find my account under the phone number field, enter your account's email and use the recovery button to sign in with your new number.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Lyft?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Lyft is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
