What Airbnb uses your number for
- Guests verify a phone number before booking, and hosts before listing a home.
- Airbnb confirms the number with a 4-digit code sent by text message.
- Once a booking is accepted, every phone number on your account is shown to the other party.

Why the line type matters
Travel and ride apps often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.

ExpediaQuestions
Will my Airbnb host see my number?
Yes, once the booking is confirmed: Airbnb shares every phone number on your account with the other party. With a TwinNumber on your account, your host sees your U.S. number instead of your personal one.
What are Airbnb temporary phone numbers?
For some users in the U.S. and Canada, Airbnb assigns temporary numbers when a booking is confirmed, and they expire two days after checkout. The feature is limited to a small number of users and doesn't work with WhatsApp.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Airbnb?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Airbnb is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
