What Ramp uses your number for
- Signing in with your password on a new or untrusted device always asks for MFA, and the phone method texts you a code.
- Ramp may ask you to verify again before sensitive actions, such as viewing payment details or changing settings.
- A new phone number is confirmed with a 6-digit code sent to it by SMS.

Why the line type matters
Financial services often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.

What if Ramp's texts stop arriving?
Ramp sends codes from the short code 447-267. If you ever texted STOP to it, SMS is turned off for your number; text START to 447-267 to turn it back on.
I can't get codes on my old number. How do I get back into Ramp?
On the MFA screen, tap Having trouble? and choose I can't receive verification codes sent to my phone number. Ramp emails you a link that expires after 15 minutes, then you enter the new number and the code sent to it.
Who can apply for Ramp in the U.S.?
A U.S.-registered corporation, LLC or LP with an EIN, at least $25,000 in a linked U.S. business bank account, most operations in the U.S. and a physical U.S. address (not a virtual office or registered agent). An owner without an SSN can apply with a foreign passport and proof of address; the phone number never replaces that identity check.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Ramp?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Ramp is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
