Use TwinNumber with Lili.
Opening a Lili business account for your U.S. company? Lili's standard application asks for a U.S. mobile number, not a VoIP one, while non-U.S. citizens can give a U.S. or international number. Use a real U.S. mobile number for the application and the verification codes that follow.

What Lili uses your number for
- The standard Business Checking application asks for a U.S. mobile number with a major carrier.
- Your number on file receives verification codes and security alerts.
- Signing in from a new device or location, including from abroad, can ask for extra verification.

Why the line type matters
Banks often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.
Why banks reject Google Voice →Questions
Can I use a VoIP number on Lili?
No. Lili asks for a U.S. mobile phone number with a major carrier and says no VoIP numbers. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.
Can I open a Lili account without an SSN?
Only as a non-U.S. resident: Lili lets non-residents who are citizens of a supported country apply for a U.S.-registered business with a passport number instead of an SSN. Everyone else needs the owner's SSN, since Lili has to verify you as a person; a phone number never replaces that.
Why didn't my Lili code arrive?
Check that the number on your profile is right, wait a couple of minutes before asking again and use the most recent code, since each new one may cancel the last. Your carrier may also be blocking short codes.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Lili?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Lili is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
