Why the line type matters
Banks often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.

Which numbers can get Capital One one-time PINs?
Capital One says you need a U.S. mobile phone number registered to your name on file, and VoIP or Wi-Fi-based services are not eligible. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile lines, but Capital One decides which numbers qualify.
Who can open a Capital One 360 Checking account?
U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents aged 18 or older, with a physical address in the 50 states or Washington, D.C. (or an APO/FPO address), a U.S.-based mobile number and an SSN or ITIN. A phone number never replaces those identity checks.
I opened my account at a branch. Can I change my number online?
No. Capital One asks branch account holders to update contact information by phone or at the branch.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Capital One?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Capital One is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
