What Zelle uses your number for
- You enroll a U.S. mobile number or email so people can send you money with Zelle.
- That number works with one bank at a time, inside your bank or credit union's app.
- International numbers, landlines and 1-800 numbers cannot be enrolled.
Add your TwinNumber on Zelle
- 01
Open your banking app
Zelle lives in your bank or credit union's app or online banking; the standalone Zelle app no longer lets you enroll or send money.
- 02
Go to Zelle settings
Find Zelle in the app and look for the option to manage your enrolled email or mobile number.
- 03
Free it up first
If the number is enrolled at another bank, remove it there before enrolling it at the new one.
Why the line type matters
Payment platforms often check whether a number is mobile, landline or VoIP before sending a code, and many turn VoIP numbers away. TwinNumber numbers are registered as mobile.

Can I still use the Zelle app?
No for payments: Zelle phased out enrolling and sending money in its standalone app, which now mainly offers scam education. Use Zelle through your U.S. bank or credit union's app.
Why does Zelle say my number is already enrolled?
A U.S. mobile number can be enrolled with only one bank account. Remove it from the first bank, or call Zelle Support at 844-428-8542 if you don't know where it is enrolled.
Do I need to live in the U.S.?
No. TwinNumber works from 150+ countries with just a browser and an internet connection.
Is TwinNumber affiliated with Zelle?
No. We test our numbers with popular services and publish the results. Zelle is a trademark of its owner.
What if a code doesn't arrive?
Request a new code, then check your inbox and notification settings. If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll look into it.
